Frequently Asked Questions

I moved to a city with hard water and I feel like I'm going bald. My hair is shedding and snapping. Can a showerhead really stop this?
Hard water deposits calcium and magnesium onto your scalp and hair shaft with every wash, creating buildup that can leave hair feeling weak, dry, and harder to manage. The multi-stage filter helps reduce these minerals before the water reaches you. The silicone nodes give your scalp gentle, consistent contact while you wash, similar to the handheld scalp massagers people love, except it’s built in. Together, they help create a cleaner, more comfortable environment for your scalp and hair.

Everyone keeps telling me to "train my scalp" by washing less, but my hair is a grease ball within 12 hours. Will this actually help, or is my body just broken?
Your body isn't broken, it's overcompensating. When chlorine and minerals strip your scalp of its natural oils, your sebaceous glands go into overdrive to replace what was lost. The result is exactly what you're describing. Once you remove the chemical stripping with filtered water, your scalp stops overproducing. Most customers find their wash frequency naturally reduces within three to four weeks, not because they trained themselves, but because their scalp finally stopped being stripped every morning.

My partner uses the same shower and their hair is fine. Why is my hair an oily, itchy disaster while theirs is normal?
It’s not unusual. Different people react differently to the same water quality, factors like hormones, hair type, and scalp sensitivity all play a role. The same water that doesn’t bother your partner can leave your hair feeling oily, dry, or just “off.” It’s not your habits or your products. It may simply be that your hair and scalp are more sensitive to what’s in the water.

How long does the filter last, and is it hard to replace?
Each filter lasts approximately 3 months with regular daily use, depending on your water quality. Replacement takes less than 60 seconds, unscrew, replace, done. No tools, no plumber, no disruption to your routine. Replacement filters are available directly on our website.

Will filtering the water reduce water pressure?
No. ShowerFlowLuxe is engineered to boost pressure, not reduce it. The high-pressure technology amplifies your existing water flow, so the filter operates without any loss to the force you feel. If anything, most customers report stronger, more consistent pressure than their previous showerhead.

Isn't a whole-house water filter a better solution?
A whole-house system filters water
throughout your home, but it doesn’t change how your shower feels on your body.
ShowerFlowLuxe combines filtration with soft silicone massage nodes and strong pressure, so you get cleaner water and a shower that actually feels like it’s doing something for you. A whole-house filter also costs $500–$3,000 to install. ShowerFlowLuxe installs in 60 seconds and costs a fraction of that.

What is your return policy?
We offer a 30-day return policy for unused and unopened products. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact our customer service team to initiate a return. Detailed return instructions are available on our Returns & Exchanges page.

Will the silicone nodes be too harsh on sensitive skin?
The nodes are soft, flexible silicone, not bristles. Most customers describe them as gentler than their own fingertips. If you prefer traditional flow with no node contact, the spray mode gives you exactly that. You control how much contact you want, every shower.

How is this different from a regular showerhead with a massage setting?
Standard massage settings just change the water flow pattern, it’s the same water hitting the same skin in a slightly different rhythm. The silicone nodes create actual physical contact with your skin, which is a completely different experience. That’s why it feels more like a real massage and less like a setting on a showerhead.
